Denied of maternity leave compensation and non payment of last month.

06-Oct-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)

My employer is not giving me my maternity benefit always misguiding by saying they have to look at rules and it has been more than 2 months. Also not paid full salary of one month. I have in full since 1 year till 3 weeks prior to my delivery and due date. No sick leaves pf or any other leaves are there. I applied for mat leave in proper format. He has not denied neither paid any compensatn. When my husband went to enquire he mis behaved. I am very much worried. For salary he told i have not worked properly so whatever partial salary he is giving take that else nothing will be given. What action can i take against him?

As a first step you put forth your grievance in writing to your higher authority i.e. head of you company where you work. Thereafter depending on their reply you better file a complaint to the Human Rights Commission where you stay.
