08-Feb-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
Dear Sir/Madam, I am from Bangalore and I working as Executive Support and my salary is 16,000 per month take home. As per the new ESIC amendment to avail facility who is drawing up to 21,000/-. I nominated my dependant parents to avail the facility. I do have siblings who are students. As am the eldest daughter to my parents in the family I wanted to enroll my parents. But my employer has denied saying that I cant nominate my parents as am married and I have a siblings (1 younger brother he just completed BE and aspiring to do his masters, 2 younger sisters 1 is 20yr old and other 19yr old). My question is Why can't I nominate my parents who solely dependant on me? Can someone help me in sorting this issue with my employer?

Dependent Parents are eligible to get benefit under ESI Act as they come under the definition of Family under section 2(11) of the Act. For further assistance contact.
