About subletting Is it legal to give on rent

Hi I have taken flat on heavy deposit n i enter agreement for sublet option, n now I have given on rent, so society can take any action
Sub letting is not allowed in law
If you are yourself not the owner of the property you cannot by law sublet the property
Your society can initiate legal action against you for submitting the property
As in the society’s record you are the tenant residing or in use of the property however in reality someone else is in actual usage
