Written in affidavit not beating wife after drunk and give all my sala

Hi,
My wife filed the case against me and my family as I beat her after drinking, I am jobless also. Now we did settlement by submitting affidavit in police station in writing as " I will not beat my wife after drinking and give me salary to her once I get the job" would like to know the validity of affidavit as notorized stamp valid till May-2020. Will it expire after it? Or becomes invalid.
