Who are legal heirs of Assets in Utter pradesh for Hindu family.

01-Jul-2023 (In Family Law)
1. I am a married lady (Hindu). My parents had lot of movable and immovable assets. They (both) died intestate. We are 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Please let me know, what are my lawful rights in my parents assets. 2. One of the property is in the name of my mother. On the application form for property, name of my younger sister (Married- Hindu) is mentioned as Nominee. Please clarify the meaning and rights of nominee. My sister is saying that, as she being the nominee is the only legal heir of the property. Please clarify.

Apart from Agricultural land in UP, for all the movable and immovable properties, you, your sister and brothers will get equal share. The provision of nominee is not applicable here. For more information kindly contact a local lawyer.
