What to do my ex boyfriend wants file a case for leaving

04-Jul-2023 (In Family Law)
I left my abusive boyfriend a year ago as I could not stand his mental abuse and manipulation. We were in relationship 6 years in between which we stayed in live-in for brief period (less than 3 months in total) 4 years ago. He is now threatening me that if I don't go back to him he will file a case of cheating and false promise of marriage on me. When in real it was he who first promised to marry me and I agreed. However, I could have mention somewhere in chat messages that I want to marry him, which he can manipulate and present. He has kept all my messages since the beginning. What can he do in real?

Nothing he can't do anything and no court will consider his allegation nor police station. Tell him to go ahead and file case or complaint wherever he wants, don't worry it will not stand. Its called break up, hence he can't force you to stay with him or marry him. If you are still in love with him and want to forgive him means then it is your choice otherwise you are very much free to choose your option to come out from this relation.

Hi, Your BF cant make it to prove the case for cheating in your case though there were promises to marry each other same may not work and one withdraw from their promise that's not an offence in itself. To succeed in cheating case against you he must show that u have mafe him to fall for and your breach of promise caused him loss. The chance which is in your remote. But he can file complaint which is bound to fail so you need jot worry. if you want to take action against him for breaking up with you or using you you can do that for sure.

Madam

In your problem he cant insist you to go back to him. Marriage is the personal decision and it cannot be done forcibly. In First instance only you cant judge any one person. Therefore, you can file a case against him for blackmailing.

You can proceed against him.
