What to do i have faced domestic violence and harassment

26-Jun-2023 (In Family Law)
Hi I'm a 26 year old female, I was work in a top IT firm with good salary, my husband was a drunk and harassed me everyday for 4 years, I was too afraid to tell my parents cause they would force me to go back. I fell in love with a man a work, he's divorced and wants to marry me. My husband got to know about this beat me up, made me quit my job abandoned me and threw me at my parents place without any of my assets or belongings, my husband and my parents have been torturing me for months, however now he has agreed for a mutual consent divorce, but my parents are not letting me file for the same. They beat me up and mentally torture me everyday and call me names. My legal documents everything is at my husband's place, he said he'll give it to me after I divorce him without any hassles. I'm stuck from both ends. They have locked me up, neither letting me do a job nor be myself. Can you please suggest, how I can go about this legally, so that I can get my life back on track, I'm suicidal

Ok I can help you out by arranging to get filed a complaint in police station and seeing that you are free, thereafter you have to accommodate somewhere in some hotel or friends house and thereafter file for divorce and permanent aliomny and u can also file domestic violence petition for recovery of all your documents and things.

Call to the nearest police station and inform about your house arrest and harassment to them and get release yourself. You are free to live your life as per your wish even you can contact Women Rights Organisation there are many organisations to help. Being educated and well exposure you should not think about suicide. if you can write here then of course you can mail and contact the help centers also to come out from your residence from the evil hands. Even you can go and stay in girls paying guest, ladies hostel etc: and fight for justice. Take a mutual consent divorce and in the petition make a condition that he should return all your documents and the same can be mentioned in the petition. Even you can file police complaint against your husband and take those documents. Contact advocate
