What is cruelty - in restitution of conjugal rights
25-Nov-2023 (In Family Law)
Married for 1 year. Due to in-laws dispute, my husband is not living with me. I want to file restitution of conjugal rights to live with my husband. I have tried suicide attempts after my husband physically hurted me. It was months ago. After seperation, Recently I have sent message to him 'I attempted suicide' after I got emotional and attempted. I approached psychiatrist and taking medicines. I am afraid my suicidal attenpts comes under cruelty - which may reject my 'restitution of conjugal rights' case. What is 'cruelty' ground for divorce?
There will not be any use of order of restitution of conjugal rights. With that order you cannot force your husband to live with you. Further your suicide attempts and such information to your husband will be used against you. If you file petition for restitution of conjugal rights then your husband may file petition for divorce. Life is precious, try to live it, and don't waste it on matrimonial dispute.
