07-Jan-2023 (In Family Law)
My wife verbally abused my mother after my marriage four years ago, following which my mother left our house at chennai and started living ALONE in my native place - trichy.
She is 70 years old now and her health is in poor condition. she is not in a position to live ALONE and needs me badly. But my wife is not willing to take care of her and not accepting into our household.Rightnow, I came to my native to take care of her as she underwent cataract surgery and it seems that she needs me permanently. If I stay at my native along with my mother permanently away from my wife,my relatives are saying that my wife will file a police complaint saying that my mother spoilt her life by separating me from her (ie., my wife). My wife will ask police to fetch me in person physically by filling complaint. I am unemployed and don't want to leave my mother for an abusive wife. Please help me with your legal advice as to what if my wife files a police complaint seeking my detention.
