Right of a daughter on the property of the mother

25-Aug-2023 (In Family Law)
What if me and my ex wife have a single daughter and she lives with me since last 8 years. Does she have a right on her mother's property or can she claim her mother's property once she is 18+?

Dear questionnaire it is not a matter that your daughter live with together or not live with together it is clear that from the beginning of birth she is entitle in property of her natural mother she is first successor of her natural mother may she is deceased or she is live

As per ur case ur daughter has no rights for claiming rights over his mother property. As per law which stand in India clearly say that daughter and son has right over ancestral property of his father not mother. But in case ur wife has earned property by his money then she could have it

She has right of maintenance by her both natural father and mother since her birth. But regarding individual property she has not direct right but indirectly she may right through litigation. Regarding ancestral property she has right from both side. To know in detail you can contact with me getting my information the site. Click LIKE button to get more effective advice on the subject.
