Q: Can Police Stop Construction Based on Section 144 Notice in a Land Dispute?
My neighbor has filed a case in the SDM court under Section 144 in case of land dispute to stop the construction of my house, which is adjacent to his land. He claims that we are forcibly constructing on his land, which is not true as we are within our land limits. No court order or notice has been sent to us to stop the construction, only one court attendance occurred yesterday. Local police claim that Section 144 land dispute is imposed on this land, preventing us from constructing anything. Multiple lawyers have informed me that Section 144 in case of land dispute in Hindi states that it can only be imposed in a field or open area, not on a house. We have lived on this land for the past 25 years and were constructing in an area where the neighbor is causing issues. The police are threatening us to stop the construction. I live in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Please clarify: Can police stop construction without stay order based on the court's notice to represent our side under Section 144?

मै rajesh kumar sha झारखंड का निवासी हु, nमेरे बड़े भाई दुवारा मेरे नाम से नगरपालिका स्टाल मै एक स्टाल लिया गया था और उसके बाद कुछ समय तक हम दोनों भाई उस स्टाल मै साथ मै बिजनेस किया 2005 से 2009 तक उसके बाद मै कुछ और काम करने लगा 2009 से भाई के मौत तक 2020 मेरा भाई ही मेरा स्टाल चलाया उसके बाद जब मैने अपना स्टाल खोलने गया तब तब मेरे भाई के दोनों बेटो ने मझे stall चलाने नही दिया गया और बोल की स्टाल मेरे बाद दुवारा ख़रीदा गया था और 10 se 12 saal तक मेरे बाप ने स्टाल चलाया गया है और मेरे बड़े भाई जो की mentally ill थे इसलये स्टाल अपना नाम नही लिया और अपना भाई का नाम देदियाnPlease help me
