My daughters want to disown their father, I'm already divorcd from him
16-Apr-2023 (In Family Law)
My daughters aged 15 and 12 want to disown their father, I am already divorced from him. I haven't asked for any alimony, maintenance etc. as he is drunkard who keeps being thrown out of jobs anyways ...
Is there a legal process through which my daughters can disown him. He has given my daughters very painful memories too.
Sorry to know about your situation. What was the condition in your divorce decree regarding the custody of daughters? If they are ill treated by their father then they may come to you provided that the condition in divorce doesn't prohibit...
Yes definitely they can dear. Laws are very strict for that. Both the daughters will be with you. If currently both daughters are in his custody you can file criminal application in court under the provisions of illegal detention and can take custody of kids. Also you are entitled for one time alimony for yourself and for the future of your daughters.
Yes, they can disassociate their names with their father. If they want, they can change the environment or leave the current place of living where everyone knows them by their father's surname or because of their father.
