16-Jan-2023 (In Family Law)
Hi! I am a Hindu guy (age 26 yr). I have married a Muslim lady (age 22 yr) by means of registration according to the special marriage act at a marriage registrar. Is our marriage legal? Would we do anything else or it is ok for facing any legal issue?
if it is as per special marriage act, it is absolutely fine and perfect, special marriage act came into force for people who wanted to do inter religious marriages, there is nothing to worry, keep the marriage certificates properly in your custody and if necessary laminate the same for it long lastingness.
No, Your marriage is Ok. Under Special Marriage Act, different religion person can marry and it is valid in the eye of law. It is not a matter, socially marriage was not happened but as you have marriage Certificate, your marriage is completed and you became a married person, you should enjoy your conjugal life. and CONGRATULATION.
