Legally able to separate from Physically abusive family
18-Jul-2023 (In Family Law)
How can I legally separate completely from my family as an 18 year old woman? I am not going to be financially dependent on them anymore , yet they restrain and threaten me and physically abuse me. I have certain scars on my body from child abuse that I have suffered over the years. My mother threatens to kill me as she says its her right , and my grandparents have my legal documents with them. Is there any legal way to get a restraining order against them and be completely separated from them? I am about to be 18 in 2 months and they still physically abuse me as of now. How can I legally cut them off?
