You just can't deprive your stepdaughter right in her father's ancestral property as far the self acquired property is concerned she can't claim a right in it. Your husband can make a will exempting her from any right in property.Also need to circulate a notice in newspaper.. Declaration suit is also to be filed.

Your husband can disown her from his self acquired property by executing a registered will in your favour. In case of ancestral property she cannot be disowned because all kids gets right of property in ancestral property and on attaining the age of majority, she has right to claim through Hon'ble Court of law. If your husband sell whole ancestral property and invest as per our guidance, then there are certain ways.

we all are goverend by common law , your step daughter is entitled to the share in the property of your husband,incase the property is ancesstral... incase the property of your husband is self accuired without any source of money from ancesstral sources,then your husband may or may not bequeath anything on his daughter from first marriage
