Can I file reverse dowry case against my wife's brother and mother?

Hello,
My wife filed 498a case against me and my family with other criminal sections as well.
In her FIR it is mentioned clearly that they gave us huge amount of dowry because of my government job. And later me and my family were asking again more dowry.
Their first line states that they gave us huge amount of dowry including cash and other items due to my government job like it was compulsory to do so.
So, can I file FIR or case against them that they willingly gave us dowry first time?
sir,
You can't do such FIR but instead you can register an FIR saying that your wife and her family is harrassing you and your family and she left home with her own willingness and took all her articles, Jewellery and clothes.

In such circumstances you can just move for conciliation either to cohabit or to move further for judicial divorce and can close this chapter as there is no provision in law to submit as per your saying as person who gives and who takes all are wrong but making demands comes in writing. Better you should close this chapter.

hello sir, I went through your query. the first thing need here is to know the veracity of the crime she has mentioned against you in her complaint get an anticipatory bail. secondly, parents can give there daughter as much they want to spend upon their daughter's wedding and gift voluntarily. it comes under love and affection. you cannot file an fir against her parents for this.
