Can a husband ask wife to vacant ren0ted house

We are Hindu.My Husband has left to his hometown, and now he is telling from there that the house I m staying, agreement is over so i should vacant the house or should renew the agreement on my name since I m working women. Now he is not responsible for it.
If you are in rented house you have to pay rent. If the owner agrees do renewal of rent agreement. some cases owners prefer to have new renewal agreement while some cases the agreement of renewal is oral and accepted by both parties mutually.
If agreement is in your husband you can get a new agreement with your name.

File DV case and take Restraint order and ask him to pay the rent. It is your matrimonial house and you are having 100 percent right to continue your stay in the ssme house. As you informed you can execute the fresh rental agreement with the owner in your name since your husband is at his native place.
In case if you proceed to renew the agreement, the earlier agreement holder name need to be continue on the prasent rental document for that his prasence is necessary on the date of execution of rental agreement.
