Abusive treatment by son and daughter-in-law to my old parents

20-Jul-2023 (In Family Law)
My parents stay with my younger brother and his wife who look after them very well and does farming. My elder brother who stays far away in city and has high salaried job, helped my old parents around 75-80 years old to build two extra rooms in existing house. He sent him around Rs. 10,000-15,000/- to meet their expenses. Now after seven years he is demanding all his money back. His wife didn't do anything for my parents ever and always curses them and uses abusive language. Now she is demanding money and troubling my parents. How our law can protect my parents?

Hi

In this case your parents can file an application before magistrate for maintenance under 125 of cr p c

Wherein court may restrain your brother from making unreasonable demands and also direct him to maintain the parents

Hello Sir!

Yes you have remedy for the same. Your parents can make complaint to police authorities and also they can file case against your brother and sister under Senior Citizens Act. Or they can ask maintenance under Law. you can avail any of these remedies.
