mental harassment by father in law

my father in law is a paralytic patient and has the habit of abusing. He is doing this with all the family members behind his disease. But now from last few days he has started abusing me and my family day night, though I dont even talk to him. Abuse in the sense as bad as you can say to any women, Its getting hard to breath in the house. Husband asked me to ignore him. Please suggest what should be done in this case.

Even otherwise he failed to look into then you have remedy to file an application under domestic violence act at your district in which vast protection measures have been provided for your safeguard.
