Withdrawal of mutual divorce petition

My friend signed mutual consent petition on blackmail by wife. He wants to withdraw it now. What is the procedure to file withdrawal application in court? How much time it will take for the court to dismiss the MCD petition?
once mutual consent divorce was filled then it could be with drawn by presenting advance hearing petition. that should be allowed and it may take a time after hearing. the advance hearing petition to be filed and allow by judge
