Wife wants to file for divorce as husband physically abuses her

I m married since 2008 by Hindu rituals and staying away from my husband from past 4-5 years just because of his bad behavior,drinking habits and physical abuses . I want to file a divorce but no-one is in my support not even my parents . I have lost my jobs My friends family everything just because of this person. He is not ready to leave me. He uses my parents against me they all are now threatnig me that they will kill me if I leave my parents house or file a divorce. I just want to stay in peace now.
If some body is threatening you then you can lodge a complaint in a police station,
As you said your husband left you alone than you can file a case of domestic violence, complaint in CAW cell also you can fie a case for maintenance under 125 crpc

Yes you can file a divorce case but you should have strict proof of bad behaviour, drinking habits and physical abuses caused by your husband..
Or you also can opt for judicial separation from him so that he can't torcher you anymore.
Or you can file a maintenance, domestic violence, dowry demand, criminal breach of trust, but all these cases could be filed or not it depends on your facts.

Where you live right now... Fst of all go to police station nd file complain against him.. as Domestic voilence.. further give him a legal notice that you want divorce...
