What is the legal procedure to get divorce

My sister is a followers of the Buddhism and her husband is a followers of the indigenous faith but she want to divorce him but they get married according to the rules of indigenous faith so what is the process and much time will take in legal process?

A divorce petition can be filed by your sister. You can mention all the relevant facts in the petition and file it in court by following the legal process. Partners following different religions can file for divorce through legal process.

If both the party is ready than Your sister can either file divorce under mutual consent or they can also file under Indian Divorce Act. The divorce act does not contain any provision for divorce by mutual consent.

These is very simple just file a mutual consent divorce and separate from each other . Or there is any provision under indigenous communities so follow thatvobe to resolve the issue as earliest as poo

You have to explain her whole story as well how her marriage was performed and her marriage registration too. The mentioned ground is not a ground for getting divorce from the court.... ..
