Want to have a stay on divorce proceeding

I m a spouse under divorce proceeding with my husband which is filed by him..and husband is facing charge of dowery and inhouse exploitation. Can i succeed to get stay on divorce proceeding filed by my husband against me.

I have seen your query. you can file an application against your husband under section 24 of Hindu Marriage Act for maintenance and other legal expenses pendenlite means during the pendency of the divorce petition. The family court will first decide this application then proceed the divorce petition. During the disposal of the application under section 24 of Hindu Marriage Act the proceedings of divorce petition will be automatically stay. if you want any further information or any other advice then contact me without any hesitation on my phone number or visit my chamber personally.

no you can't stay the entire Case. only stay a particular stage of order if happened out of law. because it's his right to present his problem in the court. but in dowry case you can get a direction for expeditiously run the case.
