in such circumstances you have the option to file a fair investigation application before the magistrate concerned and the magistrate may seek the status report of investigation from the concerned IO.

section 406 of IPC deal with the criminal breach of trust, if the police has not added the relevant section and you do not faith in the investigating officer you can request with the court for the change of investigating officer and when the chargesheet filed you can file protest petition against the chargesheet.
