Procedure to file for divorce in case separeted for more than a year

married on 02-04-2017 separated on 22-10-2017 .. wife says tat i hold her college and school certificates but i dont ... but she holds my 8 soverign gold (have a voice evidence)... No decision from her side, i dont want to give any settlement to her...i just wanna know if i get separated from more than one year can i apply divorce without any settlement to her.. or how can i get divorced from a women..
Hello Sir,
You can always seek divorce from your wife if there's ground for granting divorce. few grounds are cruelty, desertion, incurable disease, conversion to other religion etc.. For you to apply to divorce on the ground of desertion, a minimum period of 2 years of separation is required. But you can apply through other grounds also.

One year period of marriage was completed. Filing of divorce is possible. the settlements will be decided only by the court. if it is mutual one then settlement will arise. during the course of divorce the other side may file maintenance, that has to be contested.
