Need some clarification on the grounds for Divorce!

08-Jul-2024 (In Divorce Law)
My husband and I want to file for a mutual divorce. There are no properties or children involved. We want to ask is it mandatory that we do need to fill the grounds for divorce? Lets just say, we do not want to disclose the actual reasons, what is the closest reason which we can give and yet be able to be divorced?

1. you have to file the grounds for getting divorce. 2. you can give the general grounds for divorce,no need to disclose actual reasons. 3. you can give the general grounds to make the judge understand that you both are not able to lead your life normally.

Hi, I both of your husband and wife going for mutual divorce then you need not to disclose any actual reason what you don’t want to disclose for the divorce. In a mutual divorce petition you can simply say that differences of opinions and none compatibility and willingly you both decided to dissolve this marriage.

For filing a mutual consent divorce giving Grounds or reasons is not necessary. the only condition is that you will have to show that there are irreconscible differences between the two of you and you have been living separately for the past 1 year and that you have settled the financial and other issues between yourselves.
