04-Aug-2026 (In Divorce Law)
We are married and stayed together 4 years ,my husband wants divorce and he is not working from last 2 years even tough he is capable of doing , I'm working women handling all the maintenance. No other issues we had but he wants divorce, if i ask reason he told we are not made for eachother, he can't adjust with me. If he file divorce case will i get alimony since he is not working will not get. If i don't want court take it granted and not give divorce?

If your husband files for divorce, it will not be granted automatically. He must prove legal grounds. If you contest the case, the court will decide on evidence. Detail wise i will provide but consultation fee.

A divorce is never granted merely because one spouse seeks it. Your husband must prove legally recognised grounds under the applicable matrimonial law. If you contest the case and the grounds are not established, the Family Court may refuse to grant a decree of divorce. Alimony is decided on the financial status, earning capacity, assets and overall circumstances of both parties—not merely on current employment. If your husband is deliberately unemployed despite being capable of earning, the Court may consider his earning capacity while deciding financial claims. Contest the proceedings with proper evidence to protect your legal and financial rights.

hi you could ask the alimony even if he is working also and could claim it and if you are intetested in not giving divorce then you could contest the matter and it would be decided on merits of the case
