Hi Sir/Madam, My brother and sister in law are applying for mutual divorce, my sister in law's parents are forcing us to pay the full amount while applying the divorce otherwise they will file cases. Can you please let me know. Whether it is safe to give the money, If so, What are the safety/Security tips to be taken while giving the money.

If your brother is giving money so as to obtain mutual consent divorce, first and foremost a memorandum of compromise outlining all details should be signed by parties.
The money should be paid in installments i.e 50% at time of first put up of file before judge and balance at time of award of divorce decree. Please note that the time between first put up and final decree will be 6months as per law.
