Married 19 years. Non working husband seeking divorce on desertion. Pl

My rights on mother in law's house which is maintained by me. Recently they locked house when I went away.
They want divorce with out proper financial settlement.
I have no house, not willing to provide one. Husband not allowed to invest in a house though I was in bank job.
Shall I file a first case?

yes you should file a case first against them either domestic violence of divorce under cruelty ground where in you can claim for settlement amount and your rights in the property of your husband and if you have children then you can also claim maintenance monthly for the children as well
