Married 19 years. Non working husband seeking divorce on desertion. Pl

My rights on mother in law's house which is maintained by me. Recently they locked house when I went away. They want divorce with out proper financial settlement. I have no house, not willing to provide one. Husband not allowed to invest in a house though I was in bank job. Shall I file a first case?

hi in this case you can proceed to file application under domestic violence act wherein you can claim residential rights, maintenance etc you can also approach for permanent alimony to the family court

You can file domestic violence case against your husband and and in-laws and get protection order plus you can stay in matrimonial home. You can file any case first. Domestic violence is very effective law and mainly designed to give ladies their rights.

yes you should file a case first against them either domestic violence of divorce under cruelty ground where in you can claim for settlement amount and your rights in the property of your husband and if you have children then you can also claim maintenance monthly for the children as well
