Legal procedure to file for divorce & to file for claim of alimony

How can I claim divorce? My alumni? How long will it take?

Information not complete..need to know under what circumstances, you are thinking of divorcing your spouse. if you think your husband will contest it to then you need to have very strong grounds to prove that you have all the valid reasons in support of your claim.

Dear Client! After 1 year of solemnizing of marriage you may file a divorce petition before family court. Raising thereby various grounds upon which you are seeking divorce after that court shall issue notice and hear both the paties. After that considering the grounds the court shall issue a decree and marriage should be dissolved. Then the court will also award and fix the alimony as demanded by wife subject to legal scrutiny.

For claiming Divorce you need to file Divorce petition in the Hon'ble Family Court and the alimony will also be decide by the concern Court. No time duration is specified for Divorce, it actually depends upon the parties concerned. Thank you!

Hello dear client, You should provide many more details to get exact advice Details as:- On what grounds you want to file divorce? What are the circumstances of your marriage status? How many years passed you got married? Do you have children or not? Husband's job and income details for alimony. If divorce completes with mutual understanding, it will take min 6 months, otherwise it will take 3 to 4 years too.
