please give reason for which you have to file divorce, their are different grounds under law like cruelty, desertion etc either you can go for divorce with the consent under mutual consent. the alimony amount depends on what you earn or what is decided between you and your wife for further details you can call

You can move for Divorce Proceeding in court and pray for alimony. If he contest matter you have to prove on merits and facts. If he is ready for mutual consent then you both have to file single Petition and reduce about the custody of child with you in writing and if child is below 7 years he or she will be with mother.

you. can file divorce under the circumstances like if wife treated you with cruelly and other grounds available in Hindi marriage act and the appropriate act and also the qauntum of alimony depends on your income liabilities and wife's expenses per month there are many factors that are considered while determining maintenance and alimony...if your wife is a home maker she will get maintenance and alimony.
please aproach a lawyer for consultation
thanks
