I am looking to divorce my wife.

13-Jun-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Married since 2016 (may). We have no kids and have never been physical during the relationship. My wife has more assets (Land, bank balance, MIS). She is also currently working as a freelancer and earning 35K. I have disconnected with my family since the day of marriage. I took most of the interest in managing the house expenses till date. I am a freelancer too but earn around 10-15k per month. i pay rent, bills. She pays sometimes for groceries and petrol. I have MIS, PPF, Shares and Land (But 50% less compared to my wife's assets.) Will she ask for alimony during divorce? Married under Hindu Law.

As your earning is lesser than your wife so she will not get alimony. It is advisable to have mutual consent divorce. If you wish to take my Legal opinion professionally upon online payment, then can whatsapp.

it is her prerogative to claim alimony during divorce and your investments will not come in her way to get alimony as per your status enjoyed by her after marriage and all your argument about her income will certainly influence the quantum but cannot absolve you of your obligations Tanmoy Chattopadhyay M.Sc(Net), LL.B(Delhi) Advocate High Court, Calcutta.

Respected Client, your wife can claim alimony and also your wife do not claim alimony. I mean this decision totally depends on your wife mentality. According to Hindu marriage act a wife can claim maintenance or alimony. Suppose, your wife claim alimony during divorce if you proved that your wife doing any services or any job that time you can get relief from the alimony section.
