Q: Can the party take any legal action?
I wanted to sell my house and had taken an advance of 3 lakh from a party, signing an agreement that he would have to pay the balance amount within 3 months. The time is over, he could not pay the amount and I've sent a termination notice to the party to take back his money and cancel the agreement. I also have a caveat created in case he files anything. Can I now sell my house to another person or transfer ownership to my daughter if he refuses to take back the advance with my active caveat?
