Husband refused to take wife along under Muslim registered marriage

21-Oct-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Hi, I am 26 years old muslim, got registered married 9 months ago. My husband is based in Australia (PR granted not sure if he got his citizenship) and my in-laws are citizens of Australia. We had processed for spouse visa Australia so that i could move there permanently after I get my visa as I'm working here. My husband withdrew the sponsorship 2 weeks ago without my parents and my knowledge. His parents and he has stopped contacting my family and me. There's no way of communicating with them as they've blocked us. I have reached out to my area police station they asked me to reach out to women cell and I'm yet to lodge FIR. I spoke to him after he withdrew the sponsorship and recorded our conversation. He told that our marriage was just a piece of paper and asked me to move on. I asked him to come to India to at least give me divorce. He didn't agree and told that the document will vanish and to people it was just an engagement. We didn't go through Nikah. Pls help

Even if you have not gone through Nikah, you have registered your marriage and on record a marriage has taken place and it needs to be dealt with. Filing for divorce is the first natural option, but the respondent will avoid service of notice. For declaring the marriage as void, you have to file a declaration suit.
