Help with the alimony in case wife wants a divorce

In the event of my wife asking for a divorce, who has a permanent job with a publishing house and earns about 30000 INR per month, what are the clauses of mandatory alimony (if needed)
maintainance is usually implied and comes with divorce petition and other 498a matters if not consensual divorce. but there are various instances where women is independent and capable of Maintaining herself and her daily needs. I will advice to legal assistance.

I have perused your query. The alimony or the maintenance sought by the wife comes with the divorce proceedings. Though the wife will be entitled to maintenance or alimony but the fact that she is earning and she will be able to maintain herself will be considered while granting maintenance.

there is no mandatory clause of maintenance except for maintenance granted under section 125 of CrPC. interim maintenance can be granted under Section 24 of Hindu Marriage Act, if the marriage is governed by Hindu laws..there are a few factors which are considered while granting maintenance to wife and child and is at the discretion of the court
