Ground for Divorce and Alimony for HIV+ wife

07-Feb-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Hi, My wife was diagnosed HIV +ve 8 months into our marriage. I have been tested -ve so far. My primary concern then was to ensure she gets the treatment she needs to get her health back. She quit her job before our marriage. It is now little over 3 years into our marriage now, my wife no longer works and my wife's health has recovered. However, I want to move on in life and want to divorce her the ground of HIV +ve status as she would have picked this infection before marriage. I want to know what are my chances of getting a divorce and the alimony i may have to pay and for how long?

Dear Sir,
You must produce medical records to show that your wife diagnosed HIV +ve and you will get divorce without any alimony. However you have to establish that such diagnosed disease was prevailing on her even prior to your marriage. Normally the Courts will allow divorce petitions on the medical grounds.
