False dowry case without marriage
24-Apr-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Last year my wedding (Hindu) was postponed due to covid just a week before the wedding date. Later, the brideside started avoiding us and started making excuses for not fixing a new date of wedding. Not sure why they were behaving like this but it was clear that they had lost interest in this relationship. We sent a message to them to confirm whether they are still interested in this relationship but they didn't respond. We waited for about 7 months for their response but they just stopped talking to us, so this year I got married to someone else. But as soon as they got to know about my marriage they filed a case for dowry demand and cancelling the marriage against my family. It seems they were waiting for this, so that they can frame us in this false case. What should we do now and what are the possible risks for us?
Hello...
Kindly send the copy of the F.I.R. to me...so that i can guide you...And whether F.I.R. is against the whole family or just you??
There are many remedies by which you can get relief dont worry...You can go for quashinf of the F.I.R. in the High Court by way of Criminal Writ...If the offences are of less than 7 years then the remedies qould be different...that i can tell you only when you will share the documents with me...
Thank you....you can call/ msg me for the same...
