Divorce, legal rights, child custody, what I should know

19-Jun-2023 (In Divorce Law)
My husband, though, a good father and provider has no interest in me. He doesn't talk to me. There is no affection in the marriage. It is all a polite yet distant and aloof exterior between us, each of us pretending to be busy with our jobs. The in-laws are very money hungry and petty people. They have fought with me in the past over money but my husband put a stop to it. I have a child so divorce scares the hell out of me. But my marriage stinks. I threatened my husband with legal action some 2 years back. Since then my in-laws and husband have started treating me super nicely. Not even one mean word. That got me thinking that maybe I should get a lawyer, and do d out my legal rights and situation. We are hindus.

if you want a divorce and if both of you agree then you can file the same under section 13b hindu marrige act. if not then file the same under section 13. the thing is first decide what do you want. when it comes to child custody then the view of the court is usually towards the mother
