Sir, I have married a daughter of famous and senior ruling party politician. She is planning to seperate my mother and me. She used lot of abusive words. I feel depressed from the day of the marriage. Now she is threatening that she will file a dowry case against us and put us into jail. To the fact, I have asked her to go to job which was decided before the marriage. But now she is refused to go now. I felt it's a part of life and left it. Now, she is saying that she has the right to claim half of my salary. Last few days, she is threatening about false dowry case. We want to seperate from her. Can politician trouble us with this false dowry case in future. Please help us on how to amicably solve this issue. Also, I'm from middle class. My wife is very rich. Do I need to pay Alimony after Divorce. Can we avoid paying. Kindly suggest. Thanks for your help.

the alimony is different case. the person may file the divorce case before the competent court u/s 13 of the HMA or other act in force. if any dowry case was registered against the person that could be contested by him under proper criminal court.

You must decide as to whether you have made up your mind for divorce. If yes, then you must act fast and file a petition for divorce. Only then, their allegations of dowry harassment will not hold water.
