Contested Divorce after just 1 year of marriage.

Hi, what will happen if I am apply for divorce just after one year of marriage? What charges can the wife apply. She belongs to scheduled caste and I do not.

you are free to apply for contested divorce if your marriage is already one year old. you can apply for divorce on the ground of cruelty or separation or other grounds provided for under section 13 of the Hindu marriage act. feel free to get more help.

You have two option of divorce 1. Divorce by mutual consent 2. Divorce by one sided or contested in mutual consent divorce it is very simple and take just maximum 6 month for order. but if u file for contested divorce u should have sufficient ground to file it. for in details i will contact u.

Hello... After one year of marriage divorce is generally granted if the grounds are valid and come under the purview of Section 13 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955... In revert she can only oppose for divorce and cannot apply charges on you...This is not criminal liability...If you are not happy with your marriage that cannot be meant that you are criminally liable...
