Can muslim husband give muslim wife,Talaq-e-Ahsan from different city?

My Nikaah happened in 2010 in Patna, Bihar, while we stay in Bangalore now. We are not staying together for last 3 years although we both are in same city Bangalore. Without going too much in details, I would like to mention that it was a very toxic relationship, and I have decided to end relationship through Talaq-e-Ahsan.
So my question is, do I have to go to Patna (the place of marriage) for Talaq-e-Ahsan? OR can I do it from Bangalore itself?

Marriage in Muslim Law is Civil Contract. If you are residing in Bengaluru and having Aadhar Card etc then you can file a simple suit for divorce to end such marriage contract on various grounds of toxic relationship. Thus you may get divorce even without alimony. It will be illegal divorce between you and your wife.

Talaq-e-Ahsan is when you divorce your by pronouncing talaq once every month over a three-month period. This form of talaq can only be done either through the implied period of cohabitation within the period of iddat or through express words. yes you can follow the procedure of talaq e Ahsan as mentioned in many judgments and file a petition in court for declaration of divorce, you are not required to go to Patna you can do it from Bangalore, it is necessary to follow the procedure of talaq e Ahsan.
