Can i close 13b before 498a? Will there be any issue?
13-Apr-2023 (In Divorce Law)
My 13b is pending for final hearing. And 498a is pending for my wife statement. nnShe is demanding remaining full amount before appearing for 498a, but i have a trust issue. nnShe gave another option that is, first close 13b means get divorced, which means I have to give her full remaining amount. And, post that, she will appear for 498a. Here, I am scared, what if, she will not appear in 498a, or if she appear and gave something wrong statement. Ours is Hindu Marriage.

(1) Sec 13 B of hindu merriage act is about the divorce of mutual consent with both parties.i think ur final hearing is releated to sec 13 only hindu merriage act.
(2) if ur mater of 498 A for recording the statement of ur wife and u are not believe him about her statement then u should approach the high court for quashed that case and remember when u fully satisfied that ur wife give her statement in ur favour only these condition u record the statement in court otherwise approach the high court with ur wife
(3) 13 B does not any effect of other case

At which stage your case is going on?? You can go for quashing of the case under Section 498A IPC in High Court...You have a ground for non-appearance of your wife...
