Quite strange!
A male unless disabled cannot rely on others especially wife to seek compensation. Here, the marriage has been dissolved and he cannot seek any compensation.

Be assured that your sister need not pay.

Once your sister got divorce by mutual consent, there is nothing else that has to be done by her. Even otherwise the wife will never give compensation to her husban. Only the husband has to give compensation to his wife. If her husband is giving trouble, your sister can give a complaint to the Police. She can even make a complaint against the Police person who is supporting her husband. If you are in Chennai you can contact me for further advice and assistance.

If your sister has been divorced mutually means she is not in the position to pay any compensation to her ex-husband. She can send a lawyer notice regarding to the issue.Even if she is being under the threat she can give a complaint to the nearby Magistrate to take action against her ex-husband.

To my knowledge, ex husband can not ask maintenance from his ex wife.if he has any legal right, right now he would move to court.to avoid this kind of problem, earlier at the time of mutual consent petition, clear terms should be dictated that both should not claim any in future.
