bailable warrant pvt. complnt. [sec. 71]
22-May-2025 (In Divorce Law)
2 days back police came to my home with bailable warrant letter which states that I need to present in acjm court on 29th May at 11 am.I fill the bond that i will appear in the court.
My question is that do i need to hire a lawyer for this or I can present myself without a lawyer in acjm court.
If the police came to your home with a bailable warrant and gave you a notice to appear in ACJM Court (Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate) on 29th May at 11:00 a.m., here's what you should know
Lawyer Not Mandatory, But Strongly Recommended
You can appear without a lawyer—it’s legally allowed.
However, it is strongly advised to hire or take a lawyer with you, especially
If the case is criminal in nature.
If you’re an accused or respondent in any criminal complaint.
If the case involves serious allegations or confusion in legal procedure.
Why You Should Consider Hiring a Lawyer:
A lawyer can help to fullfill with bail formalities in court.
They will ensure your rights are protected.
They can represent you effectively in front of the magistrate.
Bond needs to be executed, a lawyer ensures it's done properly.
