Worked In BPO Which Will Asking To File A Case On Basis Of Data Theft.

I was working in a firm a BPO company . What my job is to get number from google map ,call the customer and make an appointment. Then i left the company and joined another BPO of same process. I am doing the same thing getting nunber from google map and making an appointment . But one appointment which i made was same as which i made in previous BPO . Now the previous company saying we will file a case against you under data protection act. Can they do this ?
hello hru as you have mentioned in ur case described above . in the sinario you are talking about yes they can file a case on you as well as they can even try to convict you for atleast years in jail. if you wish to eacape this issue then you have to take precausionary steps legally to save your self from legal complications and to save yourself from been arrested. it might also be possible that your previous company has alreadly filled acse against you.
