Betrayed by a online work from home company

Hi sir,
I have recently joined a online work from home company and made agreement. The very next day I have found that the company is fraud and that the company demands lots of money from employees saying technical failure and blackmails them by showing agreement..
So, I have thought of leaving the company and mailed them saying they I would leave..
Now they are asking me to pay a huge penalty amount..
What should I do?? Please get me out of it..
