We Have RePlaced Our Old Gate With New Gate

We Have RePlaced Our Old entry Gate With New Gate and placed it in our wall of Our home permices but Our neighbors claims that Gate placement activity has damaged their wall adjoining to Our home wall ,tiles was with no damage observed in police report and tiles were 20 years old now they claim same tiles which are not available in market and if we settle it outside court they have bad intentions like they demand to repair whole bathroom With tiles instead of adjoining wall repairing and also they are jealous With us and consider us as poor uneducated people because they have good financial back n have law knowledge as they use it against us and filed false case criminal n civil without FIR from 2021 we are suffering here kindly help or guide us to get out of this

Looking at the situation it is a clear case of liability from your side as it was your house whose renovation was happening and the fact that the tiles were 20 years old won't matter that much so in all you would have to pay for the damages that’s it. This matter is civil and no criminal charge would be heard by the magistrate if the matter moves to court .
