I was travelling with my friend in taxi. Now she’s blaming me for her wallet theft as I was the only one travelling with her in taxi. Is it enough to charge or convict.

No.. she will have to show circumstantial evidence for her allegations. She will have to corroborate her evidences with proof. Whether she can show with evidence that when she entered into the taxi she was carrying her bag.

It is not a sustainable charge because there are a number of things that could have happened. However you ahould take immediate steps against her and counter her allegations and you can probably save yourself lot of hardship. Thanks

Has your friend filed any FIR in regard to the theft of her wallet against you or anyone else Charge framing and conviction is a matter of trial and you need not worry about that at this very moment
