My boyfriend disagrees to marry me

My boyfriend dated me for 1 and half years and now he is disagreeing to marry me as his parents have a problem with my religion. He says he was not aware of this issue earlier. He wasted my time.

Well, you can either lodge a Civil Case of Breach of Promise to marry with you against him as per the Indian Contract Act, 1872 or for committing Civil Wrong under the Law of Torts or you can file a Rape Case against him under the concerned provisions of the IPC, 1860, if he promised you to marry and relying on that mere promise, you have him the consent for penetration.

You may file a complaint against your boyfriend at the police station and a copy to the concerned DCP. The complaint has to be meticulously drafted to include ingredients of offence against your boyfriend.

Well, you can either file a case of Breach of Promise against him under the CPC for not sticking with his promise to marry you or you can file a Criminal Case against him if he has physically indulged with you and you let him to do so merely on the sole promise, that, he would marry you and now as he is breaching this promise, you can file a rape case.
