Marriage certificate agent not supporting after paying full payment

We had appointed private agent on our behalf to apply for Marriage Certificate. In the month of Oct 2018 he filled application online and got appointment on 19th Jan 2019. We went to BMC ward with three withness holding all original documents. All procedure done and BMC officer told that you will get updated within 5-7 working days on assigned email id. Agent had given his own email ID and mobile number for all further communication. After few days my wife keep asking about any response from BMC to the agent. But she got very rude response from the agent. He told you go there to BMC office and inquire about your status which was unexpected. His wife also start shouting at my wife for frequently follow up.
